About Us
Welcome to the Devonport 4 Wheel Drive Club website. We are based in Devonport, Tasmania and boast over 40 members. We were established in 1978 and some of those original and founding members are still current members today.
We have a trip each month usually consisting of day trips, overnight camping trips, navigational challenges and mainland trips. Social events include BBQ's, spit roasts and our annual dinner. We are a family oriented club but cater for all manner of 4wdriving enthusiasts.
Although based in Devonport we have many members from the Launceston area and all across the North West Coast.
We meet at 7.30pm, first Tuesday of each month at our clubrooms, the old Fire Station as Sassafras.

The Devonport 4 Wheel Drive Club is a member of 4WD Tasmania, an organisation representing Tasmania's recreational vehicle clubs and their members at both state and national level. 4wd Tasmania, with the support of their member clubs are able to lobby government departments on track issues regarding access and maintenance.
In addition, Devonport 4 Wheel Drive Club work closely with the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service to help maintain 4wd tracks around the north and north west of the state.
